Oh man, what a month this is turning out to be. The weather is getting great, the Spring Fever has started to grab hold of New Yorkers and things are generally just getting wonderful. And they’re about to get wonderful-er and here’s how… tonight at Sway it’s a very special party, Cottontails Gone Wild with DJs Roxy Cottontail, Luther and WooHoo. It’s gonna be a banana rama bonanza. Just take one look at the flyer. Then we’ve got great SXSW news for you. Roxy will be performing on Thursday the 18th at Karma Lounge and then Saturday the 20th at the Dubfrequency party at The Loft at Malverde- make sure to RSVP here. Both should be super showcases so if you find your little cottonbum in Austin, get involved. Annnnd… it’s about to get even more fun in the Miami sun with all the Cottontail events at Winter Music Conference this year. Ms. Cottontail performs at Klutch Wednesday the 24th and we have two inSANE events at the Clevelander on Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th. Look out for all the juicy details coming soon. And speaking of coming soon… look out for an exciting new mixtape from Roxy coming to you in the near, near future. Strike up the band… See you in the cluuuub. xoxo -The Cottontails ————— -Monday March 8th- Roxy Cottontail Presents… Cottontales Gone Wild Featuring… + WooHoo Hosted by… Photos by Driven by Boredom Door by Pebbles van Peebles Sway 305 Spring St Btwn Greenwich and Hudson ——— -Thursday March 18th- SXSW Presents…. So, here we are on Thursday and Monday at Rice and Peas seems a million years away. It was a blast, as always and Ms. King Texas was there to capture it all. Here are some very ethereal edits. Make sure to check out her site here for the rest! Enjoy, bunnies and have a good one!! xoxo -Pebbles van Peebles ———- ———— xoxo |

So, yeah, maybe this is a little belated. Like a month or so, but I have good reason. And that reason is Roseanne. You’re probably saying, “Wait, what? Roseanne ended years ago, all the way back in 1997.” Oh yes, but there are some beautiful cable networks that play reruns like nobody’s business. And, just the other day as I was watching one such streak, dreaming of how badly I wanted to find the now out of print DVD version of “She Devil” all for my little self to have and to own and all of a sudden… GLAMOUR. All over the screen like the glittery, sequined vomit of an absinthe inebriated unicorn. Joan fucking Collins in all her ageless amazingness waltzed out onto the screen like the miracle she is. Then it all came rushing back. All my Joan Collins mental imagery came flooding over me like her sartorial life flashing before my eyes. Joan as cousin Ronnie in this particular Roseanne episode, Joan as the step mother and witch in Shelley Duvall’s Faerie Tale Theater presents Hansel & Gretel, (with the wee Ricky Schroder and Isaac Q. Newton from the Golden Girls - click there for the entire episode, LLIFE changing), Joan as Pearl Slaghoople in the dreadful Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, (she was a cunty bright patch), and finally in her most famous role of all, Alexis Carrington Colby on the style equivalent to Citizen Kane, Dynasty. This woman has been a sex symbol since the day she popped out. She posed for Playboy in her 40s. Her sister is a romance novelist, for toast’s sake. Joan Collins is like the raven haired, British embodiment of Blanche Devereaux. And as we all know, that’s OK by me. Anyjoancollinspealslaghooplewasbetterthanelizabethtaylorspearlslaghoople, the slightly timely reason for this post is the brand new simply smashing Alexis Bittar ads that are plastered all over construction sites in the city. They star the one and only Ms. Collins and although they went up at the beginning of last month, I was prompted to tell you all about them only now because of that fateful Roseanne episode. I was reminded of Joan Collins’ incredible awesomeness and figured you all needed some images of this beautiful beast of a woman. Find some more below. All the wayyyy down. . So, kiddlets, the moral of the story is: Joan Collins is a silky, ageless icon and the fashion on Roseanne is devoon. Enjoy your day, and keep it fashionable, please. xoxo -Pebbles van Peebles And now… gratuitous Joan Collins flix!!! ———— xoxo |

Oh you rabbits know how Ms. Janet can whisper me to sleep any night, well homegirl is back with a track (that has yet to be released), but it obviously hit the internetz and you KNOW I was on that like a cottontail on a carrot! It’s called HeartBeatLove (yes, obnoxiously without spaces… GaGa LoveGame anyone?) and it features Pitbull. Let’s be real here, are we a little tired of hearing “Mister 3-0-5″? Yes, yes we are. BUT the remainder of the song redeems this slight error in judgment. The beat is POPPIN’ and I cannot wait to hear the remix because, as I always say, a perfect song can always be outdone by its remix. The lyrics might be ehhh, but Janet puts on the sexiest voice I have heard since “All Nite (Don’t Stop),” GAH she just melts me! Favorite part of the song in my bunny-ear’d opinion would have to be the chorus, without even thinking about it, my chest is already poppin’ like I’m seizing, it’s crazy infectious! Or, if you’re feelin’ that Jerz thing, the fist pump is always a second option. Here’s the link to the audio of HeartBeatLove (CLICK CLICK CLICK), and let’s hope remixes (and a video) are on the way! I’m hoppin’ out of here! -xoxo- Ryan Rabbit |

Can you believe we are in the third month of 2010? It’s crazy! The sun is shining here in New York and melting all the snow away. Thank goodness because the Cottontails have all gotten so stir crazy that we’ve planned all kinds of parties in anticipation of the return to nice weather. And we’re not wasting any time. Tonight at Sway it’s your favorite reggae monthly, Rice and Peas with Max Glazer, DJ Gravy and the whole crew. Then Thursday, Ms. Cottontail and Luther head down to Philly to tear it up at Silk City with Sammy Slice and Cool Hand Luke. Friday, back in New York at Monster, it’s the Black Teenwolf’s birthday bash hosted by Ms. Roxy, Lady Fag and Chaz Requina. And don’t forget about SXSW and Winter Music Conference, both coming up this month! We’ll have lots of exciting parties to tell all you little lop earred friends about in Austin and Miami so get involved and stay involved. See you at the cluuuub!!! xoxo -the Cottontails ————-
